This activity is intended for oncologists, hematologists, pathologists, clinical scientists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and pharmacists engaged in the care of patients with breast cancer.
Learning Objectives
- Assess recent clinical trial data evaluating both currently approved and emerging therapies for the treatment of patients with HR+/HER2– breast cancer and its impact on the current standard of care
- Evaluate the safety and efficacy of currently available and potential future treatment options that are being examined in patients with triple-negative breast cancer
- Examine various patient- and disease-related factors that impact the selection of therapy for patients with HER2+ breast cancer in order to individually tailor care for each patient with this malignancy
- Develop strategies that encourage the multidisciplinary care of patients with all subtypes of breast cancer, including the role of the medical oncologist, surgeon, radiation oncologist, nurse, pharmacist, and advanced practitioner, in order to optimize patient outcomes
